I plan on gifting a pair of oriental ceramic statues that have been in the family over 70 years to my nephew for his wedding. His fiance has the same style has my mother. They are of sentimental value but not worth much. I plan to tell them the story of how and why they ended up in the family. If I'm presenting them at a shower, should I just write the story in the card or tell it to the group?
