What helps me (and I know that's not possible for everyone): taking a 2 week holiday and make it a mix of going out and seeing new places (even just places in my hometown I haven't seen before), go to a few events (they can be free), do some of the duties that are waiting, and have 2-3 days where I just lie on the couch and read or watch TV. One thing I found so relaxing in the 70s was that the adults, once work and housework was done, could spend the evening however they want. You want to read? Okay. Knit? Sure. Watch TV all evening? Have fun! There was no "YOU MUST SET GOALS! YOU MUST BE PRODUCTIVE! IF YOU HAVE A HOBBY YOU MUST GET TO PROFESSIONAL LEVEL WITH IT! ONLY WATCHING TV IS WASTING YOUR LIFE AND THAT IS A SIN!" Hustle culture wasn't even a thing at work, and certainly not at home. So much more relaxing, and so much less guilt.
