My husband has two grown sons, both in their 30s. One son lives out of state and only called for money. When my husband finally said no, his son stopped calling. It’s been over a year since we heard from him. My husband called and texted him periodically to say hi. He never texted or called. We invited him to come for a visit, and to pay for an airline ticket. Nothing. His other son lives near us, but never wants to get together or see us. We’ve seen him, but it’s like pulling teeth to see him. He hates our dogs and doesn’t like coming over. Our dogs are friendly. I understand that there are people who don’t like dogs. I get it. So we went to his place recently to go out to dinner. We pay for dinner. He was unhappy the entire time. He didn’t want us to hang around his place. Then he said on text to his Dad, “I don’t want company. Why are we doing this again”. Honestly I’d rather not get together with him, however my husband wants me to go. I’ve said to my husband, go without me. Am I wrong?
