I embroider medieval stuff with medieval stitches and colors, so here are some easter themed medieval embroideries for you. I've been stitching this style of embroidery for over 30 years.
some of these projects are available as kits, some are from my book "Bayeux Stitch" published by Crowood Press.

The Spring Lamb
Part of my four seasons opus anflicanum kit series, embroidered in silk and gold.
LOL!! BUT!! NO spring lamb has horns like that! Those are the horns of an animal at least 4 years old- more if it's a wether- which they kind of look like! See my profile pic? That's a 4 year old.. and they're way big. DO I like the Embroidery? I do.
he was based on a crusading "lamb" but I took away his flag and gave him a much more epacable daffodil. I'm sure the avergae medieval peasant would hvae found the horns just as incongrous, but there you go

Embroidered in naturally dyed wools in the laid and couched work technique.
And now for the easter bunnies, some have quite studious hobbies like reading.
Others like to ride out to the hunt.
Others are a bit more argumentative. This one is a project in my book "Bayeux Stitch" published by Crowood Press.
Some play jazz...
But it's mainly to drown out the noise of their friend's criminal activities...
And this one is called Napoleon Tearsyerbonesapart, destroyer of worlds, eater of souls, and ultimate bunny of chaos (his lion friend is called Nobby).
