Have you ever wondered what is like to do something that you don’t like anymore just because people said so? Well, I have.

I was finishing a PhD in Russian literature and I was extremely unhappy, so unhappy that I couldn’t find pleasure in the things that I used to. It was time to change.

So, my husband and I bought a German Spitz dog (actually it was his idea, since I was crazy about a French bulldog and didn’t want anything else) and realised that he was perfect for us (I was still unsure even after 2 days).

His name, Wurst, was decided even before we had him, when we were in Germany eating sausages almost everyday and we thought it would be funny.

This little ball of fur and full of energy came into my life and changed everything for better. I started doing dog agility because he loves to run and now I love this sport, I did some courses on dog behavior to understand him better and also lots of dog photography courses.

He is my real inspiration. He poses like a pro, waits patiently and even smiles for the camera!

Since he is such a good boy, we decided to take him to our holiday trips around the world. It has been an amazing experience to share the world with him and also to photograph him in these beautiful landscapes doing his favorite trick: the “meerkat”.

He is my best friend and the best dog I could ever had. How would I imagine that such a fluffly ball would change my life like that?
