Three Little Sisters Recreate Oscar-Nominated Movie Scenes With Their Mom, And We Can’t Get Enough
"One family's journey through the Oscar-winning movies." This is how the author of "Don't call me Oscar" herself describes the cool photo project.
Seven years ago, Maggie Storino, a mother-of-three, received a black tutu for her baby girl and took a picture of it, inspired by the famous movie "Black Swan." The feedback on the photo idea was amazing, and that's how it all started.
With each passing year, the quality and intricacy of the photoshoots grew and now these young kids, Sophia, 7, Sadie, 5, and Sloane, 2, are real pros at channeling their movie counterparts.
Below you can find some of the amazing recreations from the past few years, including reenactments of this year's best movie nominees, such as Shape of Water, Dunkirk and Get Out. What was your favorite? Let us know in the comment section.

this is a scene where they discuss the heartbreak of their children dying....and it is being emulated by children??
La La Land, 2016
So now it's inappropriate for a girl to wear a dress and hold the hem? Methinks your mind is what's inappropriate.

Why is there a yellow minion on the villain board and not a purple one??
Arrival, 2016
Good copy but it is a god awful film though, 2 hours of my life wasted.
The Revenant, 2015
Love this one. Of course on the top picture I feel sorry for that horse.
Birdman, 2014
Dunkirk, 2017
Umm.... That's not from Dunkirk. I know a number of websites mislabelled this as being an image of Harry Styles in the afore mentioned movie, but that is actually Rami Malek playing Merriell "Snafu" Shelton in the 2010 HBO miniseries "The Pacific". The image itself comes from the Okinawa battle scene in episode 9, if I'm not mistaken. Here, see this for yourself, at 0:50 in the link - even the damage ot the helmet cover is identical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-3jnIfQ64A
Have you actually seen the movie? Absolutely no glamorizing.

well i am sure Mom and the kids had fun doing this--but let's just hope this little girl didn't ask about the character she was playing (i.e. a woman who lost her daughter to rape and murder)
Why not? Her baby died, now she is sad and angry. That's easy to understand, also for a kid.

Nailed it. Pulling the teal color of the hair ribbon.... and the best of all, the expression on Lady's face... these girls have skills. Whether they ever choose to act or model, this is great training for so many arenas of life. Brava

All those boxes! I'm not a photoshop wizard to say the very least... but the faithful recreation of background is amazing. I applauded the girls earlier, but now I'm clapping for the mom/director's skills in recreating and pulling off these snapshots and images. Awesome.
I totally agree! how did she get all those Mendels boxes?? Welldone for an awesome job!!!

DOUGLAS CAMPBELL, PEOPLE LIKE YOU DO NOT DESERVE A BORED PANDA USER NAME!
If you don't know what a certain word means, look it up before you use it.

I’m wondering... how did you get the burn and scars to work. I’m trying to do little scenes using everyday things and this seems like something that would sell one scene’s point.
The Imitation Game, 2014
He created the computer. Not Tommy Flowers. Not Charles Babbage. Turing. Also, it's TOUR-ing, not TUR-ing. Drives me mad.

Yeah, if she was truly dedicated, she would give birth to a few African-American kids then wait 6 years and redo the shoot.

Lion was such an incredible (yet real) story- My son and I saw it together, and we cried and cried ( had to wait in the theater after the film to calm down, we were both a mess!) I can't imagine life without my son...the boy's mother in the film lost two sons in one night- just heartbreaking! It's so beautiful the way it turned out
It really wasn't that real. Look up the real story.

Since I can't respond directly to Douglas Campbell, I'll say it here: the stars of photos are of these people's children. They just happen to be white. Would you prefer they did blackface? Would you prefer they didn't even mention Oscar-winning movies with black actors? Geez, just shut up already!
Nadine, let's hope Mr. Campbell is just ignorant because he didn't bother to read the article to find out it's the artist's children, not hired actors. 'Cause if not, he's one seriously troubled bigot himself!
Load More Replies...Douglas, she's using HER kids for the photo shoot. She could have ignored movies with a black cast and that could have been considered racism by some nitwit too. Btw, I'm black and I think she did brilliantly!
careful, if you let them know understand the chart you might get 'hit' by a (((gang))) 46457.jpg
They created these pictures with their OWN children. I see you complaining about racism so much. It is NOT racism. They just don't have African(-American) children. And because of that, this is racism? Apparently you don't know much about racism. Your racism comments don't make any sense..

Oh come on. Don't use the word racism when you don't (or maybe too lazy to) read the article before judging. And this really has nothing to do with racism.
She's recreating with her own kids. As it turns out, she doesn't have any black kids. Therefore, no black kids in the pictures. Seems fairly straightforward to me.
There's a racist here for sure. And his name is Douglas. Douglas is also an ignorant moron.
Guess what?? In some of the pictures, GIRLS are pictured as MALE characters. Guess that's sexist. Get over it.
That has nothing to do with racism. Are you even realising that those are just the photographers three daughters?

I wish they would have hired a trans actor for that role. But the little girl is great.

mom...you must be a truly movie freak. recreate every scene perfectly in details. thanks for sharing with us. wonderful job!
These are awesome - so much effort in the details - the kids must've had a ball
Wow, these were so spot on, so clever, and absolutely delightful. Throughly enjoyed each one. Unlike the troll in the comments, I think these show, not only a wonderful color blindness, but a gender, age, and living blindness. Loved the dolls and stuffed animals -- that's a big part of the whimsey of the shoot.
I smiled all the way through this essay. I kept imagining the fun this family had putting these photos together.
A lot of work and great patience was obviously done in all of these. You and you're kids are very creative! Well Done.
