104 Mesmerizing Mosque Ceilings That Highlight The Wonders Of Islamic Architecture
Mosques throughout the Muslim world have some of the most intricate and exquisite architecture designs ever created by mankind. There's too much amazing architecture in them to cover in just one post, so we decided to focus simply on the mosque's ceiling designs – something the faithful might see when they look up to the heavens.
These stunning pictures show just how heavily mathematics and geometry featured in Islamic architecture in the Arab world and elsewhere. The repeating perfect spirals and geometric forms in the amazing buildings are reminiscent of the intricate mandalas found in Buddhist art as well.

NOT Qalawoon This is Az-Zaher Barquq Mosque, Muizz Street, Cairo, Egypt. King Zahir Abu Sa’id Barquq ordered its construction, which began in 786 AH / 1384 AD. then, a charitable foundation was established here by al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun for his madrasa. The school itself taught the four Islamic legal schools and contained a mosque and a Sufi khanqa.

All beautiful. I would say the most beautiful 'ceiling' of them all is at the Ka'bah in Makkah as you stare out towards stars and the heavenly Baitul Ma'mur

I went there .. and THIS place is absolutely MAGIC. I cried of bliss when this beauty hit me. My favourite place on earth. Iran is absolutely amazing ... people, nature, art and history .. overwhelming ... go if you have a chance, it wil be one of your best experiences, i guarantee you .. Bless
