It started out as a way to practice being creative. The only rules were I had to use anything I could find in my immediate area of the beach where I was sitting and keep it simple. It was a challenge I enjoyed and good practice away from my studio. Very therapeutic to be honest. On the beach creating art just for the joy of creating? Ah yes. And the bonus was I knew someone would come across what I created and smile just like I do when I come across someone’s creation in the sand. It was also an opportunity to use trash I would find on the beach. Just a little extra awareness of trash there that we somehow have become complacent about. A little art that made the viewer really look at and be aware of what it was created with.
