I Recreated Famous Logos In The Grotesque Art Style Typical For The Middle Ages (10 Pics)
Hello everyone, my name is Ilya Denisov (pseudonym Ilya Stallone). I am the creator of a series of works "Medieval Branding" and I am a person who simply loves both history and art together.
I decided to imagine what the logos of famous modern brands could look like during the Middle Ages. Therefore, I present to you a selection of ten logos that I created.

Lately, I was in Belarus and visited several medieval castles. This atmosphere encouraged me to create this series of works. I've been designing, illustrating and especially logo making for a long time and I realized that I can combine the work that I love and the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
I cannot say that I am a full-fledged fan of the Middle Ages. But I think that the Middle Ages is quite an interesting period in history and in particular, I was interested in studying the art of the Middle Ages.
I have been drawing everywhere since childhood, on notebooks, on a desk at school, on the hands of my classmates. My parents noticed my passion for drawing and sent me to art school. This desire to draw has not died out in me to this day. Therefore, I try to embody all my ideas in drawings, both graphic and in a traditional style.
I like every stage of the creative process. Everything goes quite easily and with pleasure. Of course, most of all I like the stage of the emergence of an idea in my head.

What would you consider "proper" censorship then? I see stars as nipples ... I'd consider that censored. Also siren does not care about your prudery.

That's actually a real heraldic charge. It's called a "melusine." More common in Continental heraldry than on the British Isles.

Thank you for then great tip. I just listened to the track you suggested and it's absolutely brilliant. I really love it. Here's something for you. If you are of a certain age and remember the New Age German group Enigma (they were huge in the 90s) they had a group of singers who had a singing career of their own called Gregorian. They sang popular songs from the 60s until the present day in Gregorian style (hence the name Gregorian) It's really beautiful. Gregorian singing to a rock music background. It really worth listening to if you haven't heard them before. I've given you 2 of their tracks to check out but there are loads more as they brought out a few albums. These were hilarious and very clever. I adore going to museums and trying to find the ugliest rendering of a baby in Medieval and Renaissance artwork. (Look up "ugly medieval babies" and you will get a whole slew of funny articles about why babies sometimes looks like terrifying, miniature old men in some famous artworks)
