Hi, I’m Raj khatri from Mumbai, India and I’m an art director and a digital artist. I’ve been designing movie posters for the Indian movie industry since more than a decade now and I totally love this medium.The idea of summarizing the entire movie in one image is really challenging and exciting at the same time.
I had been toying with the idea of doing a personal project on minimalist movie posters. I wanted to take a fresh approach to this since many artists have done some really great work for minimalist posters.
I decided to depict these cult movies in just bold strokes and colors which are reminiscent to the themes of the movies. These series are made of digital paintings and I’ve taken that extra care to make it look organic and “hand-made”.
