A small series I started working on recently. I began making these purely out of curiosity. I have had an affinity with birds since I was a child.
I made these out of clay and feathers that I found outside. It’s quite a time-consuming process.

So beautifully crafted, thank you for posting your creations. I have a pair of Budgie's and they don't live in a cage, they have free range. I collect all of their gorgeous feathers and I wish I could send you an envelope full. I can't bring myself to throw the feathers away. :)

I was going to post the same thing before I saw yours, except I have Cockatiels instead of Budgies. Birds are something special, aren't they? I often wish I was artistic like this because I have feathers absolutely everywhere.

These are so detailed! The red headed woodpecker head was my favorite one. I used to see them in Ukraine quite often.
