She's a narcissist and a sociopath.You can see in her expression that she knows exactly what she's doing and enjoys doing it. She wants to hurt, be it physically or emotionally, and can control it if she wants to. She doesn't want to. I'm bipolar and have had some emotional storms when I was manic. I've done some things that I'm not proud of, but I knew that something was wrong with me, not everyone else. I got help. She scares me because she doesn't care about anyone but herself... people like that are dangerous, and I don't just mean in a physically violent way.

Don't let nurses know you have it if you can avoid it though - much of the medical community has demonized it and conflated everything they find annoying or awful about patients as being "BPD". They'll talk about working with people with "BPD" and actually be describing people with paranoid schizophrenia or antisocial personality disorder. I had at one point a very close friend with BPD. Although I’m not friends with her anymore, I wouldn’t say it’s because of her disorder, more because of actions of hers I didn’t agree with. I don’t think she’s a bad person nor do I think I’m not friends with her because of her BPD. It definitely is not “incriminating” or innately wrong

I have been diagnosed with quiet BPD last year and fully agree with you. It makes everyone with BPD look bad and almost ashamed to talk about it.
