At the end of August I’ve visited my home countryside. The traditional rural areas are slowly disappearing from the map of Poland, especially in my surroundings where industry is growing year by year. I had a moment of nostalgia and decided to check if one beautiful field road, that I remember from my childhood, still exists. When I was a kid I was running through this road, eating wild apples and laughing without any problems and anxiety.

It was a hot day when I visited it for the first time after almost 20 years. I took a short walk and came back home. I was really surprised that it looks identically as I remembered it and decided to come back there in the morning.

At night I saw a dense fog forming in the area but for a landscape photographer such phenomena is truly perfect. I grabbed my camera, got in the car and headed to the edge of the village. What I saw totally amazed me. The fog was dancing with old apple trees, ripe fruit were falling on the ground, wild pheasants and roes were running around and only birds and tractor were disturbing a deep rural silcence.

It felt like a dream. Literally a dream.
