Working in IT is not for the faint of heart. It may not be physically demanding, as it typically involves sitting at a desk for at least 40 hours a week, but it can be stressful, mentally exhausting and extremely frustrating. So if you’re going to enter this field, you better bring a sense of humor with you!
We took a trip to the IT Humor and Memes (Uncensored) Facebook group and gathered some of their funniest posts below. You might find these pics painfully relatable if you're a dedicated IT worker, but we hope that you’ll also find them slightly therapeutic. Enjoy scrolling through, and be sure to upvote the ones that you’d like to send your colleagues!

A guy in my office accidentally removed the fibre cable from a critical bank server and we spent hours pinging and call coming in until i happened to check the back and noticed the cable lying on the ground.
H aha. My ex used to whine about my bag of cables until she needed one.
Being the inventor of something allows you to name it. It does not protect you from people pointing out how stupid the name is.
Also applies to new phone. Open the box, turn it on, switch to silent mode then move to other things
product manager and scrum master have to be the most useless positions in IT, if you're looking for a reason why your app has bugs, your game is unoptimised, with bugs, or it has an unjustified number of paid dlc, it's their fault. if someone introduces themselves as one of these, it's imperative that you slap them into the next dimension
My best buddy (SysAdmin / Network Admin / Database Admin) was once at a corporate function, and was introduced to a very high-level manager. She told him, "I don't remember hearing your name before." His reply: "Good - it means I'm doing my job right." She asked, "What do you mean?" He responded, "I'm an Admin. We're like the Shoemaker's Elves. If we do our job right, as far as everyone else is concerned, things just spontaneously happen, as if by magic. If Management knows our names, rest assured it's because *somebody* fouled something up somewhere." "I *see*," she replied, with a newfound respect.
They said that 20 years ago too. Thanks to technology we work more, for relatively less pay than we did before technology came along to "help". Can we go back to 20 years ago instead?
Given the state of YouTube and Chrome, these are minimum requirements.
A company I worked for sent out an email about how amazing a manager was to give up his imminent, already paid for, holiday to travel overseas to watch the rugby world cup, to help with some issue at work. They gifted him a footy jersey. As an employee would expect, it did not go down well with fellow employees - much to the surprise of management!
Almost unrelated, but how do I get rid of mcfee security? They were never invited, removed completely ans still pop up every time with s**t I didnt ask for. The irony is lost on them, but I need them gone from my "house"!!! eta Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions🥰
Wow, that’s a very user friendly explanation, I’ve been in IT for 15 years and working with computers and networking for more than 30.
Look. I know Macs kinda suck. But I just want to be able to upload photos for my assignments without downloading three different apps and selling my soul to the school district.
He smiles every time the big bad corporation sues a five-year-old kid for innocent breach thereof.
This hurts my brain. I always used to worry it would break even without this!
Why are they fumbling with shadows in their cave when they could be out in the sun?
Pfft. When I was your age we didn't have GUI, we used DOS. Yeah, I'm 38.
Nobody ever asked me why the game "Avert Fate" is 86 GB big, because its not unusal for games to have such size nowadays....'
Been through this just last week. Government site refuses to accept my user nam and password and refuses to admit my email exists. This is the THIRD TIME!!!!
Zoom is a customer of the company I work for. The account manager lives in California and the Zoom offices are on the east coast. They're requiring their account manager to go to their office for a meeting...the irony is amazing
Or smashes random keys without ever hitting enter or space
BoobTube. That's what my dad (born in 1930) called the TV. I think that's where it came from.
Reminds me of one of my managers who asked that we not put backgrounds (the ones that came with the computer) on our screens because they "might hurt the computer".
I once worked for a medical lab that named all their servers after venereal diseases. When I left they only had chlamydia in the server room. The worst part about it was that was the anti-virus server.
We shouldn't be pursuing Artificial Intelligence until we combat natural stupidity.
Good lord... as someone who is OCD about cabling... so much in that picture makes me shudder.
