There is more than one possible answer to #1, for example you sit "on" a plane, train and bus, but "in" a car.

I chose 'car', as buses, trains and aeroplanes are normally forms of public transport, but a car is normally a private mode of transport.

Sorry, #19 makes no sense to me.

Number 10 is much, much easier if you go down the columns instead of across the rows.

I was going to say bloat for the hippos, but I didn't want to be insulting.

#19 is incorrect. If the cap was $0.05 and the ball cost $1.00 more, then the total would be $1.05. Algebra does not solve it. #20 is a trick question; nowhere does it say that the letters represented days.

AuspiciousTree283, question 20 is not a trick question. It's asking for the next in the sequence. If it had been M T W T F, the chances are high you would have recognised it as days of the week. Starting with the Friday made it harder. - - - Other similar questions are O T T F F S (one two three four five six), F S T F F (first second third fourth fifth) and J F M A M J J (jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul), or S M H D W (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks). These are all very common questions.
