I would say introversion is a large spectrum and hard to define, the same with extroversion, and they often overlap. Some introverts express themselves differently to the point that a casual observer may deem them very confident, and some extroverts have a susceptibility to direct their attention inwardly, seeming shy. Online articles often seem to polarize, explaining things as black or white, whereas often it comes down to shades of grey, especially when it relates to the human mind. That's so true. This is definitely how most extroverts see introverts. As an introvert, that's exactly why I hate how people say first impressions matter. Like, yeah, they do, but I need more time... ;-;

As an introvert, i'm very disliked for having different thoughts, here at BP and everywhere else. But some get deeply angered when they see that their hate doesn't bother me as they want to. I'm not a hypocrite; i won't tell you a lie even if you find it rude. I'm not a clone; i don't have to like what you do.

I am a typical smarty snobby introvert and I can't trust someone writing "visa versa" (the correct spelling ia "vice versa") No, okay, I'm exaggerating now, but I don't think this list is wrong. A bit of generalisations, yeah, maybe, but the negative commenters were doing exactly what they were criticising the list for → going for the other extremes.

When will this extrovert/introvert trend end? God, this is so useless. Nobody gives a damn which one are you. Being an introvert doesn't make you a unique center of the universe and being an extravert doesn't make you more intelligent. Don't label yourself just because it's trendy.

Definitely me. It's a shame that people always misunderstand the word "introvert". It's a made-fun-of word. When in fact, it should be the opposite. The people I'm close to think I'm awesome and fun. People who are acquaintances probably think I'm nice yet dull, lol. Not true.

As an introvert myself, I disagree with one myth; I do feel we can be perceived as extroverts at the right time. So yes, Introverts CAN be extroverts, but not necessarily all of them. And vice versa! People are amazing and flexible. There are never really solid rules for behavior when it comes to the wide section of people that exist.

Actually I find a lot of introverts dislike people which is why we are always finding a pet to hang with if we are dragged to a party.

The thing about becomming an extrovert, is that we dont. But some of us introverts learn to fake extrovertism, because in some cases its easier.

Introverts can have those traits. It's full of generalities. I love being a nerdy introvert. I prefer the company of my pets to a bulk of the people I meet.

The worst part of "team work" is the final party. Whoopy doo, we finished the project - now I have to suffer through your lame party and pretend to have fun. Then the project is over for me.

I TOTALLY agree with this list. My mother always wanted me to be a "social butterfly" why? We humans are all talking apes. In a free society (I'm a seriously lucky homo sapiens) why would I worry about what another monkey thinks? Sign me, Easily Bored.

This is so accurate, and the part about either wanting to stay home or be out in nature rather than around most people is very much me. It's not something you can explain either, most people would just consider you antisocial or "stuck up," rather than accept that some of us just don't cope well or care for most social situations.....

Plenty of extroverts don’t like small talk either.

1 and 2 contradict each other. If you hate small talk, you won't want some stranger coming and talking to you because chances are a stranger will have nothing but small talk to start with.
