My spousal unit and I both have "la crève" (a nasty cold) right now, and have been isolated at home for the past week. We have coughed so much that it hurts, and we are actually doing this same gesture to prevent coughing because we have a secondary sore throat from all the coughing we have done. He's at one end of the house and I am at the other and the cats are running between us to whomever is the quietest.
