The one nice thing about turning 70 is my memory no longer remembers many of my cringe moments of my life. The few I do remember I now laugh at. Because really, our stupidity of youth is really humorous.
I used to get the regular, boring sort of floaters from time to time. But after surgery for a detached retina, I started getting some that were absolutely lovely shapes and colors. They still come around every once in a while, like old friends stopping by to reminisce.

Yep, I got broken up with exactly one year after the day we met. I put a bunch of thought into this message about how much I loved and cared about them that morning, and that evening they called me and said "We're better off as friends but nothing is going to change." We used to talk for hours and call every single night. We've called once in the last month. They're my only friend. It's been fun.
