Market Basket in New England. His name is Artie Demoulas. The strike lasted months. Other stores created part time jobs to help out struggling employees. Store managers helped out. Harvard Business school teaches a whole course on the incident.
We have a tradition of just driving around to look at Christmas lights while dressed in our PJs with the heat on high and the windows down while drinking hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music. Sadly, with gas and electricity prices so high and everyone tightening their belt, not only are fewer people decorating, it's hard to justify the cost of gas. It depends. If they're coming to your house to host a private event then it's justified. Also, some food trucks actually provide better quality food than chain restaurants in the UK now. But yej appreciate that some are juat c**p food at stupid prices. My husband does really high quality premium food from his and always has lower prices than the junk food sellers
