I was really spun out when I learned not long ago that veins are massively idiosyncratic. They don't match left to right, and everyone's are different (especially superficial veins). Even bigger deeper ones (and even arteries, though less) vary quite a bit. So phlebotomists are not looking for common and named veins, they gotta check what you've actually got.

On Reddit the OP says they grow about 4 "starter teeth" (which is what is pictured) a year. If they aren't removed they will grow into full sized teeth. 😮 They've also had 11 wisdom teeth removed so far. They just keep growing back.

My brother had orange hair as a kid. It next went to strawberry blonde. Now at almost 50 he's just blonde. His beard has some orange in it, but otherwise you'd never know he was a ginger.

This can be corrected by pulling the baby tooth and opening the gums to attach a button to the adult tooth which is then attached to a chain and the chain attached to braces. The adult tooth will come down into its place. Two of my kids have had this done.

From the OP: I had pretty severe myopia, around -12 diopters, which was too strong for LASIK. This was the alternative I was offered. It’s a pretty uncommon procedure, and my surgeon was one of only a few in my country doing it at the time.
