That is so sad. Reminds me of a childhood friend whose mum got married only for her new husband to d*e on the first day of their honeymoon. Their flight landed in the afternoon, they went out for a meal that night and proceed to get very drunk, they went back to their hotel room and realised they'd forgot something so he decided to go back to get it, while his new wife got ready for bed. He slipped when walking past a pool, fell and hit his head before sliding into the water. He was found pretty quick by other guests but it was too late, he blacked out when he hit his head and drowned before they could get him out.

He worked at an airport and was fascinated by airplanes and how they worked, always dreaming of one day flying one. One day he noticed a small aircraft with the keys in it and decided to take it up. He had picked up little bits of knowledge from conversations with pilots so knew the basics of how to fly but had no idea how to land. People in the radio towers tried to convince him to land talking him through how to do it but he declined stating he had no intention of landing, he flew around in circles above the airport before doing a few loops then told the tower he was done and crash landed the plane dying on impact. "It's been a blast" were his last words.

She deserves the dignity of being named, Tess Richey. This case is one that will haunt me forever. I live very, very close to where this happened (in downtown Toronto); I saw one of her loved ones posting a "missing" flyer on the lampost outside my window in the days before she was found, and later had police canvassing at my door. At the time, my daughter was less than a year younger than her, working nights, and often came to my house in the early hours of the morning to pick up my grandson after work, when I was babysitting - around the same time and in the same area Tess disappeared. The fact that it was her mother who found her, after travelling from North Bay to search, breaks my heart.
