I’m creating a Python book for kids (and beginners of all ages!) called Learn Python through Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales. I realized that the classic stories from hundreds of years ago are actually great teaching tools for learning to code. The simplicity, brevity, and logic of the stories allows them to be written as computer programs that demonstrate different programming concepts.

I’m also working with an artist to create full-page illustrations depicting the nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Each code page has an accompanying illustration.

I hope this book makes learning to code in Python enjoyable while feeling new and familiar at the same time. It’s currently on Kickstarter.
