My name is Janessa Broadbridge (Talizmyn) and I’m a photographer from Toronto, Canada, that moved to California to be with the amazing person that is now my husband. I enjoy spending my time visiting Californian landmarks and parks, or even just the backyard, capturing nature’s distinct beauty in photographs.
For photos I take with my Canon, I use both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom for editing and retouching, and take photos in RAW format for maximum flexibility in editing. I also take photos with my phone, and use various apps for editing to suit my needs.
I have been in the country for just over a year now, and look forward to not only exploring more of the land around me, but snapping photographs of it too. It is such a beautiful place to live and vastly different from the city I grew up in.

Photo taken with a Pixel 2 XL on a hot day in Griffith Quarry. The grasses were dormant and dry, as seen in this photo. There is little green to be seen, except for in the dry leaves of the trees.

Autumn in the Backyard

Photo taken with a Pixel 2 XL after the afternoon rain in early afternoon. The air was still fresh and a welcome change from the smoke. (There were fires a fair distance away on the day this photo was taken, and the winds were blowing the smoke into our home.)
