I worked at a *kill* shelter for seven years...seven heartbreaking years. Never, ever again. We/I had many "saves"..... but just one loss is too much. MUCH too much!!!! There HAS to be a better way!!!

You can check AMIRA's Facebook page, basically they try to save as much of these beauties as they can. They invited me to go to the kennel to take some pics so they can post and try to find new owners for them. At least 2 since yesterday were saved. Mafra (city) kennel keeps them for 15 days, if they can't find no one, well, they are killed. :(
