I have been creating fine art photography images for the past 7 years and during that time I have spent quite a bit of time learning how to use Photoshop to make images that are both minimal and surreal. In some photos I do very minor changes: tweaking colours, adding clouds or removing distractions from the background. In others I do quite elaborate changes: moving figures onto different backgrounds, cloning props and sometimes even creating the whole image from a variety of different photos that have been composited together. My goal is to create photos that make you pause and consider what is happening – and in some cases, wonder whether what you are looking at really happened that way.
