I have been creating fine art photography images for the past 7 years and during that time I have spent quite a bit of time learning how to use Photoshop to make images that are both minimal and surreal. In some photos I do very minor changes: tweaking colours, adding clouds or removing distractions from the background. In others I do quite elaborate changes: moving figures onto different backgrounds, cloning props and sometimes even creating the whole image from a variety of different photos that have been composited together. My goal is to create photos that make you pause and consider what is happening – and in some cases, wonder whether what you are looking at really happened that way. These are a few images I have created over the past several months. To see more you can go to pattymaher.com or follow me on instagram.

Thanks for checking out my work!

p.s. the underwater photos were actually taken under water.
