I Photograph Myself During Hard Times

The photos below are related to a project which I called “A Season in Hell”. Most of them have been taken after the tragic end of an important relationship. I was literally devastated. Studying and documenting my emotional state pulled myself together. I use a lot of photo retouch in order to isolate myself from reality and express the pure emotion.

I was feeling like a psycho

I wanted to kill him… I could only do it via my photos

Why so serious?

I was breaking into pieces

I chose to say goodbye

Be quiet… Big girls don’t cry…

Sometimes I just want to disappear or become invisible instead…

At the end I should just pull myself out
