For a long time, our obsession with the youth culture rendered older people “invisible”. But through my images, I prove that older everyday women and men are still living their best lives, not some granny sitting in the rocking chair, knitting and sipping tea, looking after others. They look good, are driven and passionate about something. This is Gillian. She’s a passionate vintage lover who bit the bullet and struck out on her about 4 years ago and now owns one of the top vintage stores in New South Wales, if not Australia. Many dresses from the Australian movie, Ladies In Black was sourced from her store, Twisting Vintage. Gillian is 60 and looks amazing. With hundreds of beautiful gowns, jackets and dresses in her store, she is one woman who doesn’t say she has nothing to wear.
