I Paint Surreal Book Covers For Animals That Can’t Write Their Own Stories

Using mixed media exemplifies the chaos of animals’ attempting to coexist in the modern world. I wanted to visually represent this concern as if each painting was a book cover for the animal’s own story.

I painted these pieces using oils, graphite, acrylics and 23 karat gold leaves.
