I am an illustrator who loves geometry and structure. I like to extract the shapes in an image and am obsessed with composition and colour balance.
I started creating these city illustrations out of tourist photographs and maps. I enjoy working out how all the pieces can fit together in one picture and be representative of the city and its culture and history. Once I have a line drawing I choose the colours based on the city’s story.
It takes hours of Research, Drawing, Photoshop work and Colouring. The final pieces are hand drawn using Faber Castell Pitt Pens on smooth Bristol Paper.

I would be glad to see Budapest of course !! But as I am now living in Portugal, Lisbon would be just great too ! Anyhow Portuguese people are now very proud of themselves because of the Uefa Euro2016 , I can imagine with colours of red and green, with lots of flags around :) These days we just see flags :D
Yes it's quite tricky to choose the colours for each city - football colours come up a lot in my research!

What about Brighton in the UK - Royal Pavilion, Palace Pier, The Lanes would all lend themselves well to your wonderful style?

I think you need to do Los Angeles, there's so much here: Hollywood, the beaches, the studios, Beverly Hills, etc. I'm from Southern California so that choice shouldn't be a surprise. :)
