I have been sick for more than a year. It started with a few days of flu-like symptoms last January, then evolved into liver inflammation and stomach problems along with debilitating fatigue. The other problems have gone away, but the fatigue remains, leaving me unable to work most traditional jobs.

The good news is that I have a wonderful husband who works very hard to do all the things I can’t, a mischievous son that makes me smile, and a house full of animals to keep me company. They all make me laugh everyday, and I could not make it through this without them. My situation has also given me a unique opportunity to realize my love of writing. I’ve written a book that I am currently editing, and hope to write many more to come.

So, aside from the books, I started this comic about my life. The animation is kind of wonky sometimes, but honestly, I like it that way. They are perfectly imperfect, just like me.

They are hand-drawn on recycled paper and then scanned into my computer before I publish them with minimal editing. Cartooning has never been my strong suit, but I’ve had so much fun making these, and they help me laugh at my situation when sometimes all I want to do is cry.

I hope you enjoy these little comics and I hope there will be more to come!
