Splatterhouse 3 made an enormous impression on me when I was a kid. To express my gratitude I made a fan illustration.

The game has incredible monster designs, inspired by horror movies of the 1980s, I wanted to stay close to the originals but also add more details.

After the illustration was made, it felt like it needs some movement and sound.

So I’ve hired a motion designer to animate it and a composer to write the music =)

I love metal covers of retro games OST. In Splatterhouse 2 OST there is a track that I couldn’t stop listening to. I decided to produce a metal cover for it.

It took me a while to find a composer. A talented dude from Siberia was free and willing to do the job. Turned out very impressive!

When the motion designer finished animating the illustration I assembled everything in Microsoft ClipChamp (free to use, simple video editor with basic tools)

And here is the result!
