For my senior BFA thesis I had a wall to create my “inspiration wall” or “wall of inspiration”. I’ve always been very inspired by nature and trees in particular. I decided to go that route. I broke up the tree into sections; nature, microscopic, minerals, geographic/typographical, abstraction of these forms and another section including my “mini paintings” series I did based on this project. I used cardboard to create the tree itself by ripping away the layers of the cardboard to create a “bark-like” texture. I also got Spanish moss and laid it down on the ground as well as twigs from outside to make it more dimensional and inclusive for the viewer.
