I wanted to learn more about how blind people perceive the world and thought a good way to learn would be to follow blind people as they decided what to take photos of, to better understand how they would determine what’s interesting and what is not via their other senses.
Over a year and a half, during my travels, I looked for blind people who would be keen on doing this experiment and in the end I turned it into a documentary called “Not Everything is Black”.
The film is shot between New York, Milan, Beirut, Istanbul and Madrid. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing and are just interested in the photos, you can see them all here: instagram.com/noteverythingisblack
