I Drew An Undressed Dress Up Doll To Practice Body Positivity And To Colour Outside The Lines Of The Strict Male/Female Binary
I am an Amsterdam based artist who is known for the knitted son and other weird knits (www.clubgeluk.nl). After making the book Yarn Porn (a good handjob) I learned that loaded topics like shame and sexuality are easily addressed using the language of DIY. Because anything that can be crafted, clearly can not be scary. So I made Creative with cunt, to normalize the vulva. And now it is time to practice more body positivity with the undressed dress up doll!
The undressed dress up doll is not an old school dress up doll based on gender stereotypes. It is a genderless doll to dress up with vulva’s, penises, chests, breasts, faces and hair. Colour outside the lines of the strict male/female binary. All body parts are in different shapes, sizes and ages and can be coloured in all the colors of the rainbow. This activity book is suitable from 0-99, because we all deserve some body positivity.
