My name is Mokhallad Habib. I am a pharmacist and an artist from Iraq. I live in an area where the views of violence, demolishing buildings, and many other tragic things became a part of our daily life.

I try to transfer these tragedies into artistic pictures so that I convey the message in an interesting and fascinating way.

All too often during discussions about refugees from the war in Syria, I get to hear "They should stay and fight!". Ignorance always makes other people's terrible problems seem so simple.

Oh Baghdad and Syria.. That khilafah thing is really a mess.. The ulama (Albani and Baz) that say democracy as haram and khilafah are mandatory to all muslim is a doing a grave wrong-doing. They have done a bidah and turn many moslem monsters.. Actually democracy is and old system, even for the Prophet Muhammad. The prophet never say no to democracy, so what Albani and Baz state in their fatwa is clearly transgressing

For to be a khilafah, every muslim has to follow. So there is no khilafah now. It does not matter some lunatic call himself.

"Forced displacement now affecting over 1 per cent of humanity. Global displacement reached a record 79.5 million people by the end of last year – nearly double the figure recorded a decade ago, according to UNHCR’s annual Global Trends report released on Thursday. The report notes that an additional 8.7 million people were uprooted from their homes in 2019, an increase that UNHCR attributed to “worrying new displacement”, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Sahel, Yemen and Syria, as well as the inclusion for the first time of 3.6 million Venezuelans displaced outside their country." https://www.unhcr.org/refugeebrief/the-refugee-brief-19-june-2020/

"While there is more than enough food in the world to feed everyone, more than 820 million people still do not get enough to eat, and numbers no doubt will rise. Meanwhile, some 144 million children worldwide under the age of five are stunted, meaning they are too small for their age, mainly due to malnutrition.Mr. Guterres added that even in countries with abundant food, COVID-19 risks disrupting food supply chains." https://news.un.org/en/story/2020/06/1065962

I don’t think that little life jacket will keep the genie afloat.

All too many fake lifejackets did not keep the person wearing them afloat.

Religion is NEVER the problem. In essence, all religions (despite of some behavior and completely outdated values on gender, race and sexual preferences equality that could and should be updated) are filled with kindness and love. Even Islam, the Koran is filled with good purposes... IMHO the problem is exclusion. The need of every religion to prove itself as the only one that is valid and true. And I'm an atheist, but I understand the need for religion, because life's too hard and I see the need of people to believe in "something else" when you're hit with loss, loneliness, illness. In fact I envy everyone with the capability to believe in god, allah, buda, or power rangers. Live, love and laugh. Be kind to each other and try to stay happy as you can. Because maybe there is nothing behind the curtains. Hugs and kisses.

In some countries they don't repair or maintain the wires and just adds new lines on top of the old ones

They are electrical wires to get electricity to homes. Each just hangs his and hooks it up to the Main line. In the lack of proper infrastructure, this is the best way.
