I Design Maps To Look Like They Are From Different Time Periods
In my work as a freelance cartographer I get asked to create maps to illustrate books and novels. Often these books are set in the past and I try to match the style of the map to that time period.
I look at maps from that era and match the typefaces and other elements that were used by cartographers back then.
