I Create Comics With A Cubed Perspective And A Slightly Warped Point Of View.
The origin of cubed.lol actually goes back to a work-based comic strip highlighting the struggles and soul crushing environment of the common worker in a cubicle farm. The name of the comic was Cubicle20 and was designed in an isometric style to reflect the cubicle environment. It was positioned as ‘Below the bottom rung of the corporate ladder’ and was inspired by Office Space, The Office and Dilbert to name a few. It was less character-driven and more general workplace environment.
The strip has since evolved beyond the workspace to include the world around us and has also introduced some characters to the mix. Because the original name was work focused, Cubed.lol was chosen to reflect the expanded subject matter. In addition, the new name suggests an underlying structured grid we all live in, along with a sense of humor reflected in the suffix.
As you will see as you scroll through, some ideas are simple and visually driven while others tell more of a story.
