Hypnagogia Installation

Last year me and two fellow artists created a installation called HYPNAGOGIA, it’s an art installation that links art and science. The installation is a big sphere of 8 meters with fits up to 10 people, these people would lay on their back watching a circle with was cut out of the sphere. this circle and the sphere are both separately lit wit LED’s and would slowly change color. sometimes they would be the same color and you would have the feeling you are in an endlessness of this color. That is called a ganzfeldt effect. if you stay in the installation for a while it affects the brain in a way that it starts making theta waves. These a specific brainwaves we also encounter during dreams, sleep or relaxation. staying in the installation would get you into a dream state while you are awake.
