Little Raven, a Tamaskan husky pup, needed a friend to grow up with but her human mom Christina knew that you can’t just pick a best friend for someone. Instead, she took Raven to a shelter in Lubbock, Texas to do it herself!
“I had always wanted a dog and a cat to grow up together. It’s been like a life goal,” her owner Christina tells The Dodo. “I wanted them to be able to get along well,” Christina explains. “So I wanted her to actually meet the cat and have the cat get along with the dog as well.”
Raven was presented with 4 kittens and none of them showed much interested in her except one fluffball named Woodhouse – she was the one. It was the day when Woodhouse got not only a home but a best friend, too. One year has passed since then and the two are still inseparable! “They are perfect with each other. They don’t cuddle as much as they used to when they were a puppy and kitten. But they’re still always together, always playing together.”

Share on FacebookLooove the birthday pictures! These kinds of stories are sooo bittersweet because its adorable when they grow up together, but when they become senior pets, and one passes, its absolutely devastating. Time passes so quickly, enjoy it!
It is beautiful! Thank you for giving them the opportunity to have a forever home together 🙏❤️😘

It's not a husky like the title says "This Husky Picked Out Her Own Kitten To Take Home From Shelter" It's a Tamaskan it's a whole different breed. ;) I love the story
How sweet! It's nice to know that the dog's mum included her in picking a friend. Most people forget that you need to adopt an animal who will get along with your others, it's heart breaking if you need to resurrender an adopted pet cause they don't get along with the others.
Yeah and my wolfdog still tries to eat our cat even after a year ...
Omg I'm crying now cause that cat looks exactly like my Flonzy! I had a kitty named Flonzy when I was a kid, and she looked exactly like woodhouse! Unfortunately Flonzy Died from cancer when I was 8 :( RIP Flonzy!
OK so it made tear up as we've always been dog and cat people even though we can't them, I've made many pals outside that I cuddle with as well as my son's two cats who are now twelve.
It seems to be typical for "angle-sachs" to dress their peds and behave like kids. Therefore I hate the birthday-pics. Nevertheless its a lovely story which shows, that animals are able to do things the mankind isnt able to. Dog loves cat and reversed. But the humans kill each other cause just of different names of their god...
As sweet as this is, the birthday is just dumb as f**k and I despise anyone who treats pets like babies, dressing them up, celebrating something they have absolutely no concept of, oh sure buy them some treats on their bday, on Christmas or whenever the f**k you want but putting up decorations and putting hats on them??? It's just dumb as s**t and anyone who thinks it isn't is equally dumb as s**t or probably brooding female #14537880, a pet is not a child, so stop treating them like it, get a grip.
Jesus man calm down. Who gives a s**t what she does as long as she treats them well. There are far too many problems in life for you to get all worked up over this. Damn man. Smoke a j.

You should probably give them credit and give a link to their Instagram where you took the pictures from
I would have lost it if the last picture was of the dog dying. This is beautiful.
These two precious animals were meant to be together. They are simply adorable together so cute even color compatible!
NOT a Husky. This beautiful dog breed is called 'Czechoslovakian Wolfdog'.
Must be fun being an internet troll with the intellectual capabilities of the aforementioned food items. Either get a job and/or a hobby that requires something more challenging than cackling maniacally and scratching your balls (or lack thereof). You're obviously trolling, although I don't know if it would be worse as a legitimate comment - the link is clearly for a feel-good happy 'fluff' piece (nothing wrong with that) so avoid similar in the future and go back to your torture porn you waste of oxygen.
