At this point, is there such a thing as a perfectly executed wedding? Sure, there’s the perfect wedding within the minds and aspirations of brides (and some grooms). But once the plan is put into motion, does it turn out perfect?

In my opinion, you can make this kind of jokes/roasts (personally, I find them funny) even at a wedding. So she isn’t TA for that alone and it’s not fair to scrutinize and villainize her for that the way you did, since you basically have no way of knowing her true motivations. However, if you want to make these jokes at someone else’s wedding, you have to be 100% sure that they will find them funny and see them as friendly roasts, which obviously failed in this case. That’s the point where she could be called TA for, not being sure that both, bride and groom, share the sense of humor. And yes, she definitely should apologize for this. At our wedding, we had a coloured theme, pinks, purples and lilacs. My wife wanted the bridesmaids to wear lilac dresses. Nothing more than that, didn't have to match. Her sister in law then went off on one saying we should change the dresses to pink as her daughter wants to wear a pink dress. My wife explained very simply that bridesmaids' dresses are lilac and if SIL's daughter wants to wear a pink dress she is more them welcome to but she will not be a bridesmaid. She wore lilac. Same woman also told us she knew 10 people that wanted to come to the wedding and was it OK to bring them. It was not.

Gosh what is it with people wearing white when its not their day? Like i personally wouldn´t care much if it was my wedding, but they know they shouldn´t do that sh*t. Even if i don´t see the point of gate keeping white, i know not to wear it at someone else ´ s wedding.

The bride's the one with the veil and the bouquet, and it's a pretty safe bet hers is the only dress with a train, and it'll be more ornate than anything any of the other female guests will be wearing, so who cares if anyone else wants to wear white? There were only a couple of the above pics where I cringed because it actually *did* look like mother/stepmother was trying to upstage the bride, but the vast majority of the "gasp! someone else wore white! how dare they!" pics didn't even remotely resemble what the bride was wearing, so why does the mere color of the dress matter?!
