The Decemberists, a kinda obscure indie rock group. My friend explained it really well. They said: "Most pop songs are like diary entries. But the Decemberists are like a novel." They switch genres and tone like 3 times in one album.
REM. I miss them terribly.
Still making music would be Cage the Elephant.
My favorite is a tie between Volbeat and Ghost. I love them both so much and they have great songs

Uh. Well I don't think that I actually like any specific artists rn (just 80s-2015 pop hits) but my favourite song is uptown funk by Bruno Mars so that might count.
Either Ryan Bingham or Kill Dyll- two very different genres but I still love them a lot
Its hard to think of one as favourite musical artist but i think it would either be The beatles or The Weeknd.
