Lemnos, used to go there for work and always had the best time there. It has an amazing vibe
Meganissi. Lovely little spot in the Ionian inland sea, great to visit on a yacht.
Sporades - the town is just big enough to have everything, the lack of an airport keeps it relatively unspoilt, has a lot of nice little beaches and inlets only accessible by the sea.

Haha... sorry... I think "having a favorite Greek island" is something that is available only the Greek or the incredibly wealthy. I can't even make rent most months, let alone travel so much that I can have a "favorite" Greek island XD
Not sure why you want to comment then. And you seem to view it solely from a US perspective, whereas for many Europeans Greek island-hopping can be done quite cheaply and easily. Used to be a hippie thing, still a favourite destination for young adults partying.
