When She Wanted Attention, She Would Grab Th Emouse And Pull It Towards Her. I Called Her Our Little Ancient Goddess. 10-Days Ago, She Died Of Old-Age - She Was 15½-Years Old. Sleep Well, My Little One..

Pituxa (right) came first, picked her up as teeny tiny baby from the animal shelter 13 years ago. Mimi adopted me in the street, missing an eyeball and very infected. Brought her home 8 years ago. Pituxa was unimpressed, but eventually learnt to deal with it. They're besties now, their favorite thing is to compete over which gets the best spot on my face to sleep on... Love them both, useless beautiful adorable creatures.

So, some time in 2011, my mom, brother, and sister were out walking by my mom's friend's house. Suddenly, they stopped in their tracks, because someone spotted a tiny turtle (about the size of a nickel, maybe a quarter). It was nowhere near any water, and he was just crawling across the sidewalk. They picked the poor baby up and took him home and fed him/cared for him, originally planning to give him to some aquarium or amphibian care place. But we ended up keeping him and here he is, about a decade later, with our little fish-smelling, salmonella-inducing blessing from God :)
