How angry I am with my in laws.
I live abroad and I barely see my family and friends. I am disabled so for me making friends here is basically impossible since I can barely go out and we live in a very rural area. So my only friend here is my partner (and my dogs who shower me with love).
My in laws were angry with my partner for planing a trip to my family this xmas (with corona we have missed a lot). Their argument is that "xmas is a tine for the family and not to go on holidays". They obviously do not consider me part of their family and care absolutely nothing about me ever seeing my loved ones. They literally consider our trip a unnecessary holiday and not us visiting my family.
Its already bad that they barely hide how much they despise me for being a foreigner. But this has hurt me a lot.
F**k them. F**k them all.
We live in his country so he can see his family every time he wants. But I see my family one or two weeks a year. I have missed my grandmas 95 birthday, both my parents 60th bd, both my grandaunts 90 bd, my sister's graduation from her master, my uncles funeral, the birth of my first nephew... I will likely miss the funeral and last days of the life of all my grandmas/aunts. My partner is super supportive but his family is a nightmare.
Yesterday I made a huge mistake. I deleted Facebook long ago because I barely used it and checked it and people would get angry when I did not see their messages. But I made a second “anonymous” one because our puppy classes and play dates were only arranged via FB. Yesterday I was feeling nostalgic and checked on a few of my school classmates/ friends. I know that FB only shows the good and not the bad but it still hurt a lot to see how successful and good looking they were. I am an idiot.
I have a homecoming dance on Friday and I've never been to one before and I'm not sure what to expect.
