In South Africa, there exists the concept of "Load Shedding" where the government switches off your electricity for you, on a daily basis, to alleviate the strain for the service provider... We have tjop & dop (Barbeque & Beer)...Biltong is a delicacy...and more...

In America? The size of cars, walking around the house with our shoes on, country pride...

Well, at least my family. Probably because we clean our floor less often, and little annoying grains of sand and dirt and other stuff get stuck to your feet.

One of the biggest things is that yes we have some of the most deadliest creatures in Australia, the fact of the matter is being killed by one is not common. The most injuries and deaths are caused by horses and farm animals and then bees and wasps. So no need to be afraid of our amazing country, we have so much to offer. Another thing is we Aussies like to abbreviate anything we can lol. Some examples are: Arvo - afternoon, Cuppa - cup of tea or coffee, choccy bikkie - chocolate biscuit, Servo - petrol station, Petty - petrol, Bottle-o - bottle shop (liquor store), Maccas - McDonalds, Kafers - KFC, AC/DC - AccaDacca, footy - football, Coppa - police officer, Ambo - ambulance, Firey - Firefighter, Tradie - tradesman, Postie - postman, garbo - garbage collector, Chrissie Prezzie - Christmas present. Just to name a few. And lastly we also know how to eat vegemite properly. When trying it for the first time do NOT spread it like you would spread peanut butter. And definitely do NOT eat it off a spoon. Toast some bread to your liking, add some butter and do a very thin scraping of vegemite. Check google for picture instructions. No wonder why so many people hate vegemite, they put too much on.

In Lithuania, we eat beetroot salty instead of sweet (it's used in traditional soups, etc.)

I don’t know what Australian tinned beetroot is considered as, because it has salt and sugar in the liquid. It has a kind of tangy taste and is mostly used on burgers and in salads.

What Foxxy said is true, I lived in the UK for some time and I've only seen beetroot being added to smoothies and pastries, and even chocolate.

I heard the rest of the world doesn't have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Is that true?

We don’t eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but peanut butter and jam sandwiches are popular. Yummy.

Not common in the UK, but not unheard of either. I'm not sure I know anybody who's actually tried one though.
