I woke up crying to this one
It started out with my family and I driving somewhere, but we got in a huge car crash and all of us died. When I got to heaven, for some reason God asked me “Is there anything you’d like to teleport to or from earth?” And all I wanted to do was give my friend a plushie and a note saying not to be sad.
I know it ended kind of on a better note, but this dream has just stuck with me for a long time. I try not to think about it too much because it always makes me cry. Even right now
I spent a lot of years working in restaurants. I don't anymore, but I still have this recurring nightmare:
I show up for work and I am the only one there except for the cooks (who can't leave the kitchen) and the bartender (who can't come out from behind the bar). There are no other servers, no manager, no host, kitchen support staff, etc. But we open the doors anyway. And of course it gets busy and I am having a hard time getting to all of the tables. Then a bus pulls into the parking lot and we get even busier. I am just running around the dining room apologizing to people and telling them I will be right with them. I always have a plate with a steak in my hand that I am taking back to the kitchen because no matter how many times i take it back, they can't cook it properly and there is always one table that I cannot get to at all and they just sit there getting madder and madder for hours but they won't leave.
Back to RL, because the dream chaged a little. I eventually got promoted and was responsible for training all the new people that came through my restaurant. Once that happened the dream changed:
Same exact scenario except that it was my trainee running around trying to wait on everyone and I just had to stand there and watch them go down in flames. I would be glued to the wall, totally unable to move and helpless except to offer encouragement.
So glad I don't work in food and bev anymore!!
