I have so many fun memories from my childhood. From playing with my cousins, to making new friends, to getting in trouble, to playing pranks to getting myself in some sticky situations. But my question, is what is your guys favourite memories from when you were a kid?

My best friend has a horrible sense of direction. I do too, but I am able to navigate by landmarks and details, so I can make my way back to familiarity somehow.
I was at her house one day and we decided to explore the wash beside her house (we live in a desert city riddled with washes) and take her mom's phone with us to take pictures and videos. I was probably 13, she was 12.
So we mess around for about an hour and decide to head back. We walk and I notice the bush that I took note of when we entered the wash. I told her that there was the exit and she said no, it's a little bit up ahead. Assuming that she knew this wash better than me, I followed her (it was the correct bush).
So we walk and the environment becomes unfamiliar. We decide to turn around. When we pass by the bush again, I advise her to at least try going out that way. She says no, it's further up here. A little skeptical, I follow her.
We walk for another 10 minutes or so, and I notice we are passing by trees we took pictures at. I try to argue with her, but eventually we get so lost that I can figure out a way back.
We walk for almost an hour, my mom calling us on the phone we have. We say that we are lost and have no idea where we are.
We are told to find the nearest road, and our brothers will come and find us. They use the find my phone feature of direct us.
We ended up half a mile away from the house! I was tired and hungry, but I did have fun. Once I was fed and rested. Now its a joke we play when I outsmart her in something.
Waking up on Christmas morning and coming downstairs to open presents! But then I saw my 4 year old little sis sitting next to the window, completely forgotten by me and the fam. I sit next to her and she whispers: “Sisi, the sunrise is so beautiful here. Watch it with me.” And so I did. We forgot about Christmas completely and just watched the gorgeous colors of the sky melting into each other over and over again as the sun rose. I think this is the best memory ever.
