What is your favorite mythical creature and why?

I’ll go first-
My favorite mythical creature is the Peryton. They are winged deer said to be incarnations of lost travelers.

they are twin wolves, one with white fur made by gods of fortune to help humans because they felt bad for the humans that were struggling but the devil became jealous because he wanted the humans to stay miserable so he created a dog with black fur to cause chaos and undo the white dogs work.
Dragons.
Doesn't matter if they're Western, Eastern, Wyverns, Drakes, Wyrms, Amphipteres or Sea Serpents, I like them all. Plus points if they have elemental breaths
Phoenixes. They are beautiful and majestic. Fawkes was great. And fiery rebirth is such an excellent analogy for baptism by fire.
