Child beauty pageants. My little cousin has participated in them basically since she could walk. They’re so creepy and gross

YES! I couldn’t agree more! I once saw a pageant mom fuel her 2 year old with Mountain Dew and chocolate so she would stay awake for the pageant!

Child beauty pageants are very toxic and are really dangerous to put that impression on children that they should be 'beautiful' and it can cause mental health problems and eating disorders

In Arizona (USA) if you see a group of 3 or more native Americans, you can legally kill them because it's considered "a war party". Very outdated law that nobody has bothered to fix.

Right! All the old, weird laws that have never been taken off the books are “interesting”

At first I thought you were suggesting this law be implemented before I read the last sentence 💀

In the Untied States - being about to get your Drivers License at age 16. Kids that age do not have the focus, skills, or 'experience' to be trusted with a 4,000 pound rolling death machine.

I have thoughts on this. I think you should have a high school diploma to have your driver's license with incentives to obtain them early if grades are good and you work after school. Growing up on a dairy farm, I also think it should be a graduation requirement to work a summer on a farm during hay season. Being on the farm is why I was very young when I started driving...out of necessity, wasn't strong enough to hold the tongue of a wagon up to get it hitched, but could back the truck up a few inches. My boys did the same.

But the system has become so ingrained that 16 year olds (and their parents, for that matter) rely on having a license so that they can go to work, attend education programs outside of school, and be able to take themselves home after the afterschool sports programs, by when the buses have left. Suddenly taking it away is simply not possible without making changes to how multiple other programs are run.

Unfortunately the government's of the world stand to lose to much. They get massive tax injections (which more than covers the cost of healthcare for them) from smokers and they die early saving heaps on geriatric care. Sure smokers get sick young but they die young to comparatively speaking, the aging population costs more to care for. It's a morbid fact unfortunately, your government wants you to smoke

Being able to vote without ID. I’m 100% against voter suppression, but you need ID to drive, to buy alcohol and cigarettes, to open a checking account, to get a job, to get married, to rent an apartment, to sign up for welfare etc., But the ID should be free so that it is not a burden to anyone. My daughter who has Downs Syndrome, has a non-driving picture ID. You should also have to pass an IQ test….jk…maybe lol
