Bosses are human, which means they can be good sometimes. I've seen bad boss stories, but not about good ones. Pandas, can you share some good boss stories?

Our boss let us have 2 days in a year where we can just not go to work without disclosing a reason, warning him beforehand, of course.
My last company had that. They called it a 'Duvet day', for when you wake up and just couldn't be bothered. When they introduced it, almost everyone took a duvet day within the first 3 months. In the long run they found that there was fewer absences due to sickness as staff wouldn't 'pull a sickie' and take more than a day off to make their "sickness" seem realistic.
I've had some bad bosses but this one was pretty good. He was the CEO of the company, so not directly our boss, but when everyone else would treat our department (we were mostly new graduates) like crap he'd stick up for us.
One Christmas Eve we decided we would have our own department party because everyone else had theirs and didn't include us. So of course they complained and he basically came down to our office to hang out with us. He let us finish work early so we could play board games etc. It was really nice and it made everyone else sooooo mad.
I used to work for a major car manufactory. The head of our department said that if we reach our weekly target by 10:00 on Friday we could go down the pub at lunchtime with the company credit card, have a meal and stay there for the rest of the day if we wanted.
